What happens during the consultation?
Check-ups, X-rays, photos, scans and planning
The consultation is the first step in your cosmetic dentistry journey. During this appointment, we will assess your oral health and discuss your desired results. We will also take X-rays, photos, and scans of your teeth to help us develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. Once we have all the necessary information, we will be able to provide you with a detailed quote for the recommended treatments.
Wax up and try in → trial smile
The next step is the wax up and try in, which is also known as the trial smile. This appointment allows you to see what your new smile will look like before we begin any treatment. We will create a model of your teeth using dental wax, which can be used to make temporary veneers or tooth-coloured fillings. This will give you an idea of the shape, size, and colour of your new teeth. You can be certain that you will love the final result!
Preparation
Once you’re happy with the trial smile, we will begin preparing your teeth for the cosmetic procedure. This might involve removing a small amount of tooth enamel, if making room for a new filling or veneer. We will also take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to create custom-made dental appliances.
Fitting day
On the day of installation, we will bond the new filling or veneer to your tooth using a special adhesive.
